Tulsa engagement session in Utica Square

Utica Square engagement sessions are always so fun. This engagement session has us swooning over gorgeous sunsets and totally-in-love couples. We started shooting some nature-inspired photos at Chandler Park. This park is just about ten minutes from Tulsa and we often suggest it to our couples as a fun alternative. The rocky views give this park a cool vibe that we just love and many of our couples enjoy the different terrain. Our plan was to catch the last portion of the session at Utica Square in a less formal environment and to add some fun views. Thankfully the weather was just perfect!

We loved spending the afternoon with Abby and Ryan taking photos and getting to know each other. The last day of summer was seriously the prettiest day we’ve had all year and we got so lucky that this was the day we shot their session. When planning engagement sessions in Tulsa, we find that having a few days reserved helps. We can’t ever predict what the Oklahoma weather will do at the very last minute. Another good idea is to have your hair and makeup trials scheduled for the day of the photo session, that way you know what it looks like on camera. Most of our brides opt to do this.

Spring 2020 can’t come soon enough! We cannot wait to see these two say I DO next year at Dreampoint Ranch which is another favorite wedding venue for us. There is an enchanting view, a gorgeous modern white barn, and a water pond that has the prettiest sunset every day. We know that Abby and Ryan chose the perfect wedding venue for their day and we cannot wait to see it come together. Besides, we are working with the amazing team Penelope & Lu which is always perfection!
