The Mayo hotel, is forever a favorite to us. This is one of the most beautiful weddings we have been honored to be a part of. Mackenzie & Colt got married at the beautiful Mayo Hotel, in downtown Tulsa and we loved every minute of it. The gorgeous details were truly breathtaking! Mackenzie chose pink tones for her wedding details and her flowers were absolutely the perfect match. Pink Peonies and White Roses with small pink flowers were some of the flowers I had to choose from to create the flat lays. Daniel Weir was the florist in charge and he always makes sure to leave me a few blooms to play with! Nothing makes a photographer happier than to have fresh flowers to add to the detail photos. I think it creates a personal tone and it links the small details together in one cohesive big picture. Some of my favorite moments of the day are the first looks, the dress reveal with Mackenzie’s bridesmaids and then the gorgeous bride and groom portraits in the streets of downtown Tulsa. These two made it all so magical.
Mackenzie had such beautiful moments with her mom too. Thankfully this hotel has so many gorgeous views that can allow us some beautiful private moments. Some of my favorite moments are those unposed and that happen at the moment you least expect. I love to see the day unfold as it needs to, and this lovely bride had many unplanned beautiful moments we were just so happy to be there for. We love to just watch the day unfolds and plan for the most beautiful light.
Downtown Tulsa will always hold a special spot in my heart, it has that touch of magic that you always need on a wedding day! This view is absolutely stunning and we had some magic weather just in time for the portrait portion of our day. The bride and groom were absolutely glowing and I was elated to be there celebrating with them. After portraits, we got ready for the party, and what a PARTY that was! These two had a band and wait until you see the reception entrance! It was so much fun!
