How this Elopement Came Together

When the world started to shut down, I immediately thought of my couples and how this would impact their upcoming weddings. Shannon and Jon were no different, but if I know one thing, it’s that love persists! When couples decide to take that next step in life, it’s because they can’t live without each other. So when quarantine was mandated, that’s when we were forced to rethink how to do weddings. Brilliantly so, brides began to put a spin on an old fad, resulting in a modern day elopement!

Of course, this was no cake walk, but Shannon and Jon executed their elopement perfectly! With the help of Ashley at Farthing Events, everything was strung together seamlessly and stress free. And even though they had a small ceremony, the festivities were nothing short glamorous! Together, they were able to completely reimagine the Philbrook; transitioning this historic villa into a modern iridescent space.

The Philbrook, by itself, is absolutely stunning; presenting a backdrop that is parallel to the natural landscapes of Florence. But what I love most about Shannon and Jon’s big day, it’s all the fine details that set them apart! Everything from the cake, shoes, stationary, linens, etc, was unquestionably nothing short of perfect. (Just look at the photos!)

Advise for Planning Your Special Day

For anyone planning their wedding, just know that it doesn’t have to be big in order to be spectacular! Shannon and Jon had no more than 25 guests at their ceremony, but it was anything but small. If your planning your big day with a similar vision in mind, I would defiantly start with all the small details!

One takeaway that I LOVE in particular, is the small hint of blue added to their color scheme! Most of their colors were complied with soft dreamy pinks and creamy shades of white, but it’s the subtly of the blue that offsets the striking magenta. From there, with the help of their wedding planner, they were able to nail all the details, and come out with breathtaking photos from their elopement.

Curious about smaller ceremonies or eloping? Let’s chat!
